What does it take to really change your life? What do you really need to finally reach the goal(s) that you’ve wanted for so long? Is there a secret?
No, there’s no secret. There’s no special knowledge that only a few people have that explains why they’re living the life you always wanted. Most often, it’s not a secret that keeps us ignorant of what it takes to succeed. Most often, it’s our unwillingness to stare work and responsibility in the face and take action.
What does it take to experience real achievement and lasting change? It takes PERSISTENCE, because persistence is…
To continue firmly, or obstinately, in a course of action despite difficulty, opposition, or failure.
Doesn’t that make sense? Isn’t it the case that the reason we don’t reach our goals, or change our lives, is because we give up by talking ourselves out of it? I would argue that’s the only reason why we don’t get what we want in life.
Persistent vs Consistent
The reason why people miss this simple point is because they confuse PERSISTENCE with CONSISTENCY, and they are not the same. You can be consistent in your daily routine (like taking a shower and going to work), but that is not persistent.
When you convert from consistency to persistence, that’s when changes are created and that’s when goals are finally reached!
This is the subject of this week’s 5-message series in my Life Domination Online Coaching Program. As always, I show Episode 1 for free, so here’s the first episode of The Power of Persistence. Watch now!
