- Do you have constant turmoil?
- Do you worry a lot?
- Are you anxious most of the time?
- Do you find it difficult to relax?
- Do you feel like your inner turmoil is affecting you physically?
You might feel that a life lived with inner-peace is beyond your ability to achieve. You might tell yourself, “I’m just not wired that way. I inherited my mother’s worry or my father’s anxiety.”
When you’ve been a certain way your whole life, you can feel like it’s your identity, and if something is your identity, then it’s something you can’t escape.
Peace is not something we find by escape. It’s not something we find by “getting away from it all.” We don’t find peace by relinquishing ourselves to what’s around us. Peace is found on the other side of determined, focused struggle. Peace is the end result of overcoming circumstances and ourselves.
The foundation of peace is triumph, because you must be satisfied with yourself. If you seek peace by escape, or by relinquishing yourself to your circumstances, then it’s not peace you’ll find because you did nothing to build yourself up. Therefore, deep down, you’ll still be disappointed in yourself, and you can’t achieve peace that way.
This is what I’m covering in this 5-message series on The War for Inner-Peace. Watch Episode 1 below:
