The Fear of Freedom (Video)

In this new video series, we’re looking at one of the main reasons why we refuse to change, and you’ll be surprised to discover it’s not laziness or a lack of will power. It’s because it’s difficult to change something from which we derive our identity.

People are reluctant to change because they’re fearful of losing what once defined them—and how others knew them—and they don’t know what their “new” identity is going to be based upon. It’s also uncharted territory, so they’ll have to learn a new way to live, and they don’t feel confident you can sustain that for the rest of their lives.

All of this is controlled by the way we view our personal history, and that is where things get sticky. We all create “personal stories” in our minds based upon the past, and those stories are a primary reason why we remain where we are.

That’s what I’ll be unpacking and addressing in this new 5-message series, and I guarantee you’ll soon have some keen insight on what may be hindering you right now. Watch Episode 1 of The Fear of Freedom right now:
